A breath of fresh hair
I am Victoria Plant, but you can call me Tori.
I was born an artist—from a young girl on, my passion for pastels became a love for the perfectly, colored shades of eye shadow and pigment. I was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, but now, Tori Plant: Makeup and Hair Artistry is my second home.
My backstory? As a girl, I grew up watching my Aunt Susanne in her salon; she was my mentor and inspiration throughout my childhood and adolescence. Even after she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, and became limited as paralysis began to plague her, she still gave back to the beauty community she loved so much and to me. She and I worked together, teaching countless women with cancer learn how to style their hair and do their makeup. I learned so much from her doing this, and truly, this was the birth of my career in 2010.
Since then, I have done free-lance makeup and graduated from Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School. I have been working in the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding area for the last 8 years, and it has been a blast!
I have become a master of it all: I am a one-stop-shop for all your beauty needs. Hair? Make-up? You name it. I love doing hair color, up-dos, cuts for women, men, and even hair extensions. I love giving women and girls that new breath of fresh hair when they are looking for a change or keep their color and cut looking good for their everyday lives.
As a make-up artist, I can freshen your look or give you that bold face you need for whatever event you are attending. I have done countless weddings and love working with brides and sometimes their whole bridal party. Prom hair is also in my repertoire.
While I prefer the beautiful side of makeup and hair, here are two bits of trivia:
I do special effects makeup and television broadcasting makeup too. I worked on a zombie trailer with Lost Childe Productions and for several years have worked as the stylist and makeup artist for reporters at the Sundance Film Festival. So, the next time, you need that killer Halloween look or are being featured on KSL, come my way. 😉
Back to the beautiful side of artistry though, I continue to work with well-known Photographers and Production companies in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. My work has been featured in film, commercial, print, news, features, and is seen on many clients walking around in the Salt Lake area.
I love where this industry has taken me both personally and professionally, and I would love to meet you! To learn more about beauty and me, come to my chair and follow me on Instagram and Facebook! The links are below! See you soon!
